St. Louis Ki Society
The art of Japanese yoga can be learned at the St. Louis Ki Society. Also known as Ki Development and Shin-Shin Toitsu Do, Japanese yoga was developed by Tempu Nakamura and incorporates martial arts movements with motions of Zen and Shinto. Known as a practice where "the mind leads the body," practitioners of Japanese yoga believe it strengthens posture and physicality, increases concentration and promotes deep relaxation and a sense of calm. Classes are only offered a few times a week. The Ki Society also teaches Akido, hosts special programs and features relaxation programs for seniors.
