Ananda Cincinnati Yoga Meditation Group
The Ananda Cincinnati Yoga Meditation Group provides a resource for those interested in a more spiritual yogic path combined with some Hatha yoga instruction. Director Geoff Quinn provides a variety of meditation classes in the Ananda style, based on the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda. Linda Healy leads yoga instruction at other locations - call the center for times, locations and fees.

Cincinnati Yoga School
Cincinnati Yoga School offers a minimum of 20 classes per week, so enthusiasts are bound to find something to fit their level and schedule. A recognized Kripalu yoga center, Yoga novices start in a separate four-session program receiving special guidance on the basics before entering into a larger Hatha yoga class, an option many newcomers find appealing. Other classes include Yoga Pilates and mat Pilates, power yoga, a Mysore-style yoga course integrated with "hypnotic beats" called GroovAsana, a mid-workday session that centers on meditative and restorative breath and posture techniques, and many other innovative programs.

Shine Yoga Center
Shine Yoga Center wants you to participate in yoga so much, they offer childcare during the select morning beginners' classes. Instructors specialize in Anusara yoga, and start each session with the following chant:
"I offer myself to the Light, who is the true teacher, within and without (the teacher of all teachers), who assumes the forms of reality, consciousness, and bliss, who is never absent and is full of peace; independent in its existence, it is the vital essence of illumination."
The center offers various levels of Anusara yoga, as well as Tai Chi, children's yoga for ages 3-8, and breath, spirit, and meditation expansion classes.

Yoga Garage
Yoga Garage is a Yoga Alliance-registered yoga school. And yes, it really is located above a garage! Indu Bala Bhardwaj, co-founder and director of the studio, has studied yoga since 1968 and also teaches Sanskrit and yoga philosophy. The studio's nine instructors teach all levels of Anusara, hot yoga, Jivamukti yoga, Taoist yoga, Ashtanga yoga, and an intense practice called "rocket." Cincinnati yoga enthusiasts can also enjoy courses in meditation, Thai yoga therapy, and "yogalates," a mix of yoga and Pilates. Prenatal classes are available too.
